Study exchange

If you are studying at a foreign university and would like to study at the University of Augsburg for only 1 or 2 terms, you need to apply in three steps:

   1) Fill in the online form selecting "Abschluss im Ausland" (degree
       achieved at foreign university).
       Your online application is successful as soon as you have received vour
         8-digit application number.

2) Print out the pdf form, complete the application form and sign it.

   3a) If you are an Erasmus student, please mail your application for
         admission to nicole.hommen@aaa.uni-augsburg.de or fax it to
         +49-821/598-5875 (ERASMUS office).

    3b) If you have a scholarship from the DAAD, the Fullbright Commission,
         etc., please submit your application for admission together with the
         Scholarship Award Letter.

    3c) Participants from another official cooperation should send or fax
         us the application form together with a confirmation from their home
         university on their participation in the exchange programme.

    3d) Those students not participating in an official exchange
           programme but wanting to study at Augsbusburg University for 1 or 2
         terms are requested to submit the following documents:

1) Application form

2) Transcript of records

3) Recommendation letter of home university

Prior to enrolment, study fees have to be transferred in full.

      [Alternatively, you may enrol as a "Gaststudierende/r" (visiting
       student) in which case you are only allowed to attend "VORLESUNGEN"
       (lectures) - exceptions are possible if you get the permission of the
        respective lecturer.
        "Gaststudierende" are not permitted to take any examinations.
        You do not possess the same status and rights as an ordinary
         student does. If you need a visa, you have to make sure that the
        Embassy / Aliens Authority allows you to take up studies as a guest
        student.]

Finally, you will receive an admission letter with all the necessary
information on enrolment.

        You may enrol as an ordinary student at Augsburg University for a
        maximum duration of 2 terms for a "Studium ohne Abschluss"
        (studies without achieving a degree)
