Proof of Sufficient German Language Skills (Level DSH-1)


The following language exams are approved by the University of Augsburg as proof of sufficient German language skills on Level DSH-1:
 

  • University entrance certificate or a certificate from a school with German language of instruction (holders of a German university entrance certificate are so-called Bildungsinländer (considered to have a German education) and can apply as such)
  • DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber) - Level DSH-1
  • TestDaf (Test für Deutsch als Fremdsprache; Test of German as a Foreign Language) – at least Level 3 in all four sections (see Testzentrum Bayerisch-Schwaben)
  • Feststellungsprüfung (assessment test) at a Studienkolleg (preparatory college; German language part of exam)
  • Language certificate from the Kultusministerkonferenz – Level II (DSD II)
  • Kleines or Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom, which is issued by the Goethe-Institute by order of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (KDS, GDS)
  • Deutsche Sprachprüfung II from the Language and Interpreter Institute in Munich (Sprachen- und Dolmetscherinstitut München) (DSP-II)
  • Another equivalent certificate (subject to approval)
  • Language certificate level B2 or higher of the Goethe-Institute or of the TELC GmbH "für die Hochschule" (for universities). 

These certificates must be submitted in the original or authenticated photocopies.
