Proof of Sufficient German Language Skills: Level DSH-2


The following language exams are approved by the University of Augsburg as proof of sufficient German language skills according the Enrolment Regulations of the University of Augsburg and the Examination Regulations DSH:

 

  • University entrance certificate or a certificate from a school with German language of instruction (holders of a German university entrance certificate are so-called Bildungsinländer and can apply like german citizens
  • DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber - in German)
    Level DSH-2 or DSH-3
  • TestDaf (Test für Deutsch als Fremdsprache; Test of German as a Foreign Language)
    Level 4 or 5 in all four sections (see also: Test Center Bayerisch-Schwaben)
  • Feststellungsprüfung (assessment test) at a Studienkolleg (preparatory college; German language part of exam)
  • Language certificate from the Kultusministerkonferenz – Level II (DSD II)
  • Language certificate level C1 or higher of the Goethe-Institute or of the TELC GmbH "für die Hochschule" (for universities)
  • Kleines or Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom, which is issued by the Goethe-Institute by order of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (KDS, GDS)
  • Deutsche Sprachprüfung II from the Language and Interpreter Institute in Munich (Sprachen- und Dolmetscherinstitut München) (DSPII)
  • Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch (ÖSD) Zertifikat C1

These certificates must be in the original or authenticated photocopies.

If you are applying for a programme with limited admission (NC), proof of one of the above mentioned recognized German language exams habe to be provided within the deadline (January 15 or July 15)

For programmes without limited admission ("NC nein"):

If you have not yet taken any one of these language exams, for an application we require a proof of sufficient German Language Skills Level DSH-1. You will then receive an invitation to our in-house DSH exam. By the time of enrollment at the latest, one of the above mentioned exams has to be successfully completed.
