| description |
IT usually constitutes a big part of a company’s cost and at the same time it bears high opportunities and risk. This is due to special characteristics like irreversibility and high dependencies between the different IT assets. Hence, it is necessary to design IT considering risk and return and to align it thoroughly to the company’s strategy. At the same, companies depend on powerful and flexible IT for decision support to be competitive and to gain competitive advantages. A holistic approach on this twofold role of IT is the main focus of the project “IT Portfolio Management”. Thereby, economic and interdisciplinary questions go in front of technological issues. |
