Curriculum/Vitae

Florian Pokorny graduated from the Graz University of Technology, Austria, in Electrical Engineering and Audio Engineering in 2013 and received his doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 2019. Since 2014, he is member of the Research Unit iDN - interdisciplinary Developmental Neuroscience at the Medical University of Graz, Austria. In 2020, he started as a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Embedded Intelligence for Health Care and Wellbeing, University of Augsburg, Germany, where he is involved in the EU project RADAR-CNS. His research interests comprise the fields of (voice) acoustics, (speech) signal processing, and machine learning. Further, he is investigating early vocalisation characteristics in typically developing individuals and in individuals with currently 'late detected' developmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder, Rett syndrome, or fragile X syndrome.
