Dr. Philipp Schlotthauer
Werdegang / Professional Career
Philipp Schlotthauer, Dipl.-Jur (Univ.) ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Doktorand bei Prof. Dr. Martin Maties an der Juristischen Fakultät der Universität Augsburg. Dort arbeitet, forscht und lehrt er im Bereich des Zivil- und Arbeitsrechts mit einem Schwerpunkt im Bereich des (e)Sportrechts.
Ausbildung
Nach dem Studium der Rechtswissenschaft (mit Schwerpunkt im Arbeits- und Gesellschaftsrecht) absolvierte er die Erste Juristische Prüfung im Jahr 2018/I mit staatlichem Prädikat. Im Anschluss begann er sein Promotionsstudium und arbeitet seitdem als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Professur Maties.
Sonstiges Engagement
Herr Schlotthauer ist neben seiner universitären Tätigkeit Dozent für Zivil- und Verwaltungsrecht an der Volkshochschule Augsburg und Lehrbeauftragter der Hochschule für angewandtes Management. Zudem ist er Mitgründer der Forschungsstelle für eSport-Recht.
Philipp Schlotthauer, Dipl.-Jur. (Univ.) is a research assistant and doctoral candidate working for Prof. Dr. Martin Maties at the Faculty of Law of the University of Augsburg. He works, researches and teaches in civil law and labor/employment law with a focus on (e)sports.
Education
After studying law (with a focus on labor and corporate law), he passed the First Law Examination in 2018/I with state honors. Since then, he has been working as a research assistant at the professorship Maties and is currently working on his dissertation in esports law.
Other activities and affiliations
In addition to his work at the university, Schlotthauer is a lecturer at the Volkshochschule Augsburg and the University of Applied Management. He is also co-founder of the Research Center for Esports Law.
