Scientific Scope
On the one hand, a rigorous understanding of the mathematical properties is important for the qualitative evaluation of the models. On the other hand, it is the basis for the development of efficient and reliable numerical methods and the treatment of concrete problems in applications. This workshop will close the gap between mathematicians and more applied researchers. We aim to identify interesting research questions with high practical relevance.

Registration is free, yet required to organize the workshop properly. If you would like to participate, please complete your registration by July 31, 2026.
Please note that the number of available slots for additional talks is limited. If you would like to give a talk, please indicate this in the registration form below so that a slot can be allocated to you.

Venue
The workshop takes place on the main campus of the University of Augsburg, building D. The address is Universitätsstraße 10, 86159 Augsburg.
All scheduled talks will be held in room 2107. Adjacent to it, the seminar room 2108 will serve as the catering area for coffee breaks, and as an informal workspace for further discussions divided into small groups.

Lunch Places
Reservations have been made on October 6 at 12:00 p.m. at the following three restaurants. Each has a table reserved for up to 20 persons:

Lunch is however not provided, and participants are responsible for their own expenses.
Conference Dinner
Join us for the conference dinner on October 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Riegele Wirtshaus. The address is Frölichstr. 26.
This will be a relaxed evening, offering participants the opportunity to connect further and continue discussions in an informal setting.
Accommodation
Reservations can be made individually by sending an email to cityhotel@ostamkoe.de.
We kindly ask all guests to book directly with the hotel using the keyword: Workshop Partielle Differentialgleichungen und Variationsrechnung.
Each guest will then receive an individual booking confirmation along with the hotel's terms and conditions. Please note that each guest is responsible for their own reservation.
Reservations made through booking platforms (such as Expedia or Booking.com) or via their website cannot be counted toward the room allotment. Therefore, the special rate of the room allotment will not apply to such bookings.
Room bookings for the allotment close on July 31, 2026.
Any rooms that have not been booked by this date will be automatically released back into general availability.
