Krenner Group

Research Group - Semiconductor Nanostructures and Nanophotonics

Our group was established in 2011 within the Emmy Noether Program of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. Since 2014, we are supported by the Cluster of Excellence Nanosystems Initiative Munich.

We study solid state nanoemitters and their coupling to light and sound using nanophotonic circuits and radio frequency surface acoustic waves.

  • Exciting news: Hubert accepted a call to WWU Münster on a professorship at the Physikalisches Institut. In the next months the group will set sails to Münster. Thank you Augsburg for 12 exciting and successful years!
  • Congratulations Matthias and thanks to our friends and collaborators in Wrocław, Münster and Munich: Joint exciting new paper on „Optomechanical wave mixing by a single quantum dot“ just appeared in Optica, the flagship journal of the Optical Society!
  • New publication: Emeline’s paper on her hybrid (Al)GaAs-LiNbO3 surface acoustic wave resoantor with embedded quantum dots appeared in Applied Physics Letters. Congratulations!
  • The results of Anja’s Master thesis and Benjamin’s Bachelor thesis appeared as a Communication in Advanced Quantum Technologies. Congratulations!
