The transdisciplinary BayPlata Research Network was established in 2025 at ISLA, seeking to explore the cultural-historical relations of Bavaria with South-American River Plate region and beyond, from the 16th Century until today, with a focus on issues related to transatlantic exile and migration cultural history.

• Summer Semester 2026: Joint Archival Research and Network Trip to Buenos Aires (Profs. Wolf & Ferretti) with Conference at the National Academy of Sciences of Buenos Aires et al. (Sep-26); Keynote (Prof. Wolf) at the VII Hispanic Studies Colloquium at the IEK Institute of European Cultural History in Augsburg (Apr-26)
