Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d)
100%, pay grade 13 TV-L,
to be filled as soon as possible

The initial contract will run for three years (with options for extension). This position can be varied as part-time employment, provided that job sharing ensures the full-time performance of the tasks.

We look for highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates who would like to explore the role of extracellular vesicles in metabolic diseases.

Your future tasks:

  • You will explore the functional role and diagnostic potential of extracellular vesicles in vitro and in vivo
  • You will utilize state-of-the-art techniques such as proteomics or snRNAseq
  • You aim to publish in leading international journals
  • You aim at pursuing an academic career that includes teaching of undergraduate and graduate students

Your qualifications:

  • PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Science, Nutritional Science or Medicine
  • Strong knowledge of standard molecular, cell biology and biochemical methods
  • A strong interest in metabolism research and extracellular vesicles
  • Certificates such as FELASA-B and the willingness to work with murine models and human specimens.
  • Expertise in, or willingness to learn R, Python, Perseus or related for the analysis of proteomics and NGS data
  • Excellent English language skills are required, and some knowledge in German is of advantage
