Hello, I am Kristiane Patt, an interdisciplinary researcher working on the conflict-climate nexus. Currently, I am working on my dissertation project, which focuses on German climate change protest movements and climate-induced conflict settings. With this research I am trying to find out whether the actions of these movements lead to securitization or transformation.
My other research interests include the connection of climate change to peace and conflict, and in particular how the uncertainty associated with climate change affects the stability of peace.
Prior to starting my dissertation project, I worked on the impact of natural disasters on positive peace as well as climate-related humanitarian aid and trust.
