Research Areas Computer Science
Research at the Institute of Computer Science is extremely diverse. In various fields, there is both fundamental research and practical, application-oriented research. In addition to traditional topics in computer science such as software engineering, theoretical computer science and databases and information systems, the research is distinctly interdisciplinary in nature, addressing fields including geography, health/medicine, communication, mathematics, engineering/robotics and economics. The topic of artificial intelligence plays an important role in most areas of research.
