Biography

Adria Mallol-Ragolta received his B.Sc. degree in Audiovisual Systems Engineering from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona (Spain), in 2016. In the following years, he pursued his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (USA), where he graduated in 2018.

Currently, he is a PhD candidate. He is mainly involved in the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Project sustAGE, which aims to develop a system to promote sustainable work in elderly population. His work focuses on the automatic understanding of human states and traits using linguistic, paralinguistic and physiological information.

His research interests include affective computing, human behavior understanding, machine learning, computer vision and signal processing, seeking to computationally understand human affect using multimodal and ubiquitous computing solutions.
