Research Roadmap towards Wireless Real-time IoT Networks Presented at JRWRTC in Pisa
A research team from the University of Augsburg presented a paper at the 18th Junior Researcher Workshop on Real-Time Computing (JRWRTC 2025), held 5–7 November 2025 in Pisa, Italy, outlining a research roadmap for reliable and time-critical communication in the Internet of Things. The paper “A Research Roadmap for 6TiSCH towards DetNet,” a collaboration between our chair and colleagues from the chair of Organic Computing highlights how low-power wireless networks can be enhanced through optimized resource allocation, advanced reliability mechanisms, and real-world hardware validation. The goal is to enable future IoT systems that operate more robustly, energy-efficiently, and with deterministic guarantees.
