Immune System

To gain insight into how immune functions vary across different organs and in response to diseases, we focus on studying inflammatory processes and the associated activation of tissue-specific immune cells. We also investigate the manipulation of immune cells in disease models such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis, macular degeneration, and hypertension. Another focus area is the investigation of interactions between the cardiovascular system and the immune system, as well as cell-specific molecular signatures in target organs in various diseases.
