We investigate how the nervous system receives, processes, and interprets environmental factors and internal signals such as nociceptive stimuli or hormones. Neurodegenerative, psychiatric, and metabolic disorders necessitate a deeper understanding of the structural and functional plasticity within the nervous system under both physiological and pathological conditions. Our goal is to translate mechanistic insights into future therapeutic options for treating diseases involving the nervous system.
