I am originally from Franconia but moved to Halle (Saale) for my Bachelor´s in biochemistry at the Martin-Luther University.  Because I wanted to have a more in-depth knowledge of medical biochemistry I attended the medical university in Hannover for my master studies. After completing a lab rotation and my master thesis in AG Büttner in Hannover, I joined the group in Garching for my PhD in March 2026. My project continues my master thesis in the analysis of protein O-mannosylation, but with a new focus on the involvement in disease. In my project I analyze protein O-mannosylation with mass spectrometry measurements of endogenous or recombinant proteins expressed in wildtype and knockout cells.
