Modelling workshop

Micro-scale Modelling of Air Quality in Augsburg and its Surroundings

Building competence in modeling air quality, looking for cooperations and fostering the scientific discourse are important parts of our work at the Chair of Model-based Environmental Exposure Science.

We are aiming at an exchange regarding the current state of modelling particulate matter and trace gases - both in the frame of the just finished research project SmartAQNet as well as more broadly regarding modelling on the micro and mesosccale in the region of Augsburg. Dynamical as well as statistical approaches are welcome, as most work is neede in preparing input data like topography, land use and emissions - which are common to both approaches.

So it is fine to be a bit on the technical side as long as it serves the greater good. The goal of the workshop is to gain an overview of the interests of the participants and the useful, available or desired tools and data, as well as starting a discussion on possible collaborations.
