Dr. rer. oec. Dr. rer. medic. Maren M. Michaelsen is head of research at the Department for Integrative Health Care and Prevention. With dual doctorates in economics and health sciences, she has extensive expertise in integrative health care and health behavior change. Her research centers on the foundations of behavior modification, with a particular focus on mindfulness-based interventions and digital health solutions for stress management, e.g. in high-demand occupational contexts.

Her scholarly contributions include developing the Behavior Change Resource Model, which integrates neuroscientific insights on motivation and reward mechanisms into health behavior change processes.
