Curriculum Vitae

Laura M. Detels completed her master's degree as part of a double degree in “Development and International Relations” (M.Sc.) and “China and International Relations” (LL.M) in Denmark and in the People's Republic of China. In her master's thesis, she examined the Chinese pension system facing demographic challenges.

 

During her bachelor's studies in "International and Cultural Business Studies" (B.A.) and "Governance and Public Policy" (B.A.) at the University of Passau, she completed a semester abroad at the Beijing Foreign Studies University, China. In addition, she gained practical experience in various internships, as in the economic and political department of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hanoi, Vietnam, among others.

 

Working for the auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers since 2021, she supported various digitalization and transformation projects in the public sector at federal and state levels. With the move to a wholly owned subsidiary, GovMarket GmbH, as a senior consultant, she took over responsibility for strategic business development and the development of government relations.

 

Since August 2023, Laura Detels is an external doctoral student at the Chair of Information Systems and Management of Prof. Dr. Veit. In her research, she focuses on the area of eGovernment and examines technology acceptance, trust issues and transparency needs in public institutions.
