Curriculum Vitae
Maximilian Welck is an external doctoral candidate at the University of Augsburg. His research investigates interactions between individuals and various digital innovations.
In particular, Welck concentrates on the consequences of the Bring-Your-Own phenomenon. That is, employees are increasingly willing to use own, private, digital solutions (e.g., software, hardware or digital services) for work, and the thus resulting overlap between the digital private and work life.
Welck also examines issues related to the Sharing - and Gig Economy. The focus here is on the competition between (A) the monetarization of private property, as well as of leisure time, (B) necessary recreation, and privacy, and (C) the private sector.
Maximilian Welck studied Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems and Finance at the WU Vienna (University of Economics and Business, Bachelor) and Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Management at the University of St Andrews in Scotland (Master). In addition, he gained practical experience at a DAX company in Munich and the New York City metropolitan area, as well as at a smaller medium-sized company where he continues to advise on strategic issues.
