Information event with the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW)

In cooperation with the Jakob-Fugger-Zentrum of the University of Augsburg, the BAdW is organizing an afternoon information event on the academy program on October 11, 2023 at 4:00 pm in room 1005 (L-building of the university). As the Academies' Program differs from other funding lines of the BMBF or DFG in key respects, we would like to use this event to inform you about the structures of the funding line, the framework conditions and the application process. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to talk to BAdW contacts.
The BAdW is the biggest and one of the oldest of the eight state academies in Germany. It conducts long-term research as part of the joint research program of the science academies (Academies' Program), which serves to develop, preserve and research worldwide cultural traditions. The Academies' Program is currently the largest long-term research program in Germany for basic research in the humanities and social sciences. Several research units of projects funded by the Academies' Program are already working successfully at universities in Bavaria (e.g. Kritische Ausgabe der Werke von Richard Strauss, Cuneiform Artefacts of Iraq in Context, Steinerne Zeugen digital oder Robert Schumanns poetische Welt ).
