Twice a year - at the beginning of each semester in April and October - the Volkswagen Foundation offers a free, one-hour live webinar in English on the funding portfolio. The next webinar is scheduled for April 09, 2026, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

The Volkswagen Foundation is dedicated to the support of the humanities and social sciences as well as science and technology in higher education and research. It funds research projects in path-breaking areas and provides assistance to academic institutions for the improvement of the structural conditions for their work. 

In the live webinars, employees from the funding department provide information on our general funding, current calls for proposals and the process from application to project support. There will be time for questions and answers following the approx. 20-minute presentation. Participation in the webinar is free of charge, registration is not required. The event language is English. The access link will be published  here  approx. 24 hours before the event.
