To promote young academics, the University of Augsburg supports their participation in academic congresses as well as research and archive trips with a grant.

This funding measure is financed from funds made available to the University of Augsburg annually from 2009 onwards as part of the target agreement with the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts. The continuation of this funding measure for the duration of the current target agreement in the years 2019 - 2022 is therefore subject to the allocation of these funds by the State Ministry. Furthermore, the university management reserves the right to decide anew on the use of the funds for the promotion of young academics in the following years, if necessary.
