The University of Augsburg awards a total of ten scholarships from funds of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for

• Ukrainian nationals who had their centre of life in Ukraine until 24 February 2022 and/or who have been in Germany as exchange students since the winter semester 2021/2022 but were unable to return due to the war.
• for third-country nationals or stateless persons who enjoy international protection in Ukraine, as well as their family members, provided they resided in Ukraine before or on 24 February 2022
• for third-country nationals who resided in Ukraine with a permanent residence permit before or on 24 February 2022 and who cannot safely return to their country of origin.

Applicants must be enrolled at the University of Augsburg. Their goal must be to obtain a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Germany or Ukraine.

Funding period: 12 months (January to December 2023), with an option to extend for one year.
Amount of the scholarship: max. 931 euros/month

• Curriculum vitae stating the place of residence until 24 February 2022
• Certificate of enrolment
• STUDIS statement

Applications are welcome on an ongoing basis.
