Letter of Admission & Semesterticket

Here you will find important information about the Letter of Admission.

Together with the notification of admission you will receive a request for payment for the semester ticket (EUR 114,85 for Studentenwerk, Refectory, Student Residence Administration, Student service; Semester travel ticket).

With the semester ticket you can use the public buses and trams within Augsburg for 6 months.

Proof of payment (bank receipt, bank statement) is absolutely necessary for your registration. Information about payment can be found here.

After your enrollment you will receive your Campus Card, which serves as a semester ticket and payment card (Mensa etc.).

Learning Agreement

The Learning Agreement acts as a study contract or study plan and is intended to specify which courses you will attend at the University of Augsburgj. It is concluded between the students, the home university and the University of Augsburg. The Learning Agreement is available from your home university.

The Learning Agreement consists of several parts and has to be filled in

  • Before the Mobility
  • During the Mobility
  • After the Mobility (= Transcript of Records)

Information on courses and lectures and their ECTS evaluation can be found/received:

Course selection: If you do not find the courses for the new semester on the faculties' websites yet, please refer to the current offered courses. The courses listed in the Learning Agreement are not binding, they can be changed after your arrival in Augsburg.
If you have any further questions about the courses, ECTS credits and the Learning Agreement, please contact your subject supervisor directly.

Accommodation

The Erasmus+Büro has a limited(!) room contingent of rooms in the five halls of residence of the Studentenwerk Augsburg and arranges these

on a first-come-first-served basis.

Here you will find information about the student residences, other providers and general information and tips on the topic.

(Health-)Insurance

Another requirement for enrolment (matriculation) at the University of Augsburg is proof of your health insurance.

Please bring your health insurance card ("European Health Insurance Card: EHIC") with you to Augsburg.

After your arrival you will present the health insurance card to a German health insurance company (for further information: see First Steps Guide).

There you will receive a certificate which you will need for your matriculation.

If you have private health insurance in your home country, please talk to your insurance company about your stay abroad.

Please also go to another German health insurance company for a detailed consultation.

Students from Turkey: if you do not have a "European Health Insurance Card", you will need the document "T/A 11".

Change in the law as of 2019: European students who are employed in Germany and are paid accordingly are required to take out a student insurance policy in Germany (retroactive from the moment the student started working).

The European insurance is no longer sufficient here.

Please note: Erasmus+participants have to ensure sufficient insurance cover themselves! Please make sure that your insurance covers a medically necessary return transport to your home country Accident insurance, as well as personal liability insurance, can also be useful.
The University of Augsburg does not guarantee the accuracy of this information. Regardless of this information, the regulations of your health insurance or the regulations of the German health insurance always apply.
