If you are unable to take the courses originally planned and agreed upon, you may revise your course selection in consultation with your host university at the beginning of your exchange semester. 

Please note that any changes to your course schedule will also require an amendment to your Recognition Agreement ("Anerkennungsvereinbarung (AV)"). This is because every new course you wish to have recognised at the University of Augsburg must be approved by the relevant department before recognition can be granted.

You should therefore inform your departmental coordinator as soon as possible if changes to your course selection become necessary.

If you are considering extending your stay for an additional semester, please contact the University of Augsburg's International Office as soon as possible to discuss your options and receive further information.

Extensions are generally only possible if the exchange places for the additional semester have not already been allocated to other students.

Important: Extensions are normally only permitted within the same academic year, for example from the winter semester to the following summer semester.
