The degree programme is aimed at prospective students with very good German language skills who are looking for a job in language teaching. The study programme is divided into three areas: Intercultural Communication and Language Acquisition, Language Description and Language Teaching, and Methodology and Didactics of German as a Second and Foreign Language. In addition, students attend language courses in a partner language of their choice and gain experience with relevant fields of activity through internships at language support institutions or schools.
