Since the winter semester 2008/09, the University of Augsburg has been offering the pedagogically and artistically oriented, eight-semester Bachelor of Music degree programme with the profiles instrumental/vocal pedagogy, elementary music pedagogy and wind orchestra conducting. After a general introductory phase, a focus is set after the 4th semester by choosing a specialisation. The study programme is forward-looking with the diverse possibilities offered by the university (supplementary courses in philosophy, pedagogy, history, psychology, etc.).
