Wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy and successful New Year

© University of Augsburg

As the year draws to a close, I would like to take the opportunity to warmly thank all members of the University of Augsburg – our students and employees as well as professors – for their excellent work and cooperation.

I wish you a happy, peaceful, and calm festive season. Please remember that the university will be closed from the 23rd of December 2023 to the 1st of January 2024 (inclusive). During this time, all facilities and services such as the Registrar’s Office, the Examinations Office, the Student Information Office, and the library will be closed.

Extended borrowing conditions apply at the library during this time: https://www.uni-augsburg.de/de/organisation/bibliothek/

The Mensa and Studierendenwerk cafeterias will be closed from the 27th of December 2023 to the 5th of January 2024 (inclusive).

I would also like to use the upcoming Christmas holidays to introduce the new Augsburg research podcast series “UniA Research to go.” In conversation with researchers, we take a look at the questions shaping their research and discuss their social impact. The first episode is already available to listen:

"UniA Research to go"

I look forward to the year ahead and wish you a happy and successful 2024.

With warm wishes,
Prof. Dr. Sabine Doering-Manteuffel
