Snapshot: Workshop on reproducible scientific computing and HPC

On September 16th and 17th, the HPSC Lab gave a hands-on workshop on reproducible scientific computing and HPC using the Julia programming language. This workshop was part of the summer school

of the DFG SPP2256, which was held in Augsburg on the broader topic of scientific software development and reproducibility.

Led by our team member  Valentin Churavy, the participants learned how high-performance implementations can be achieved with Julia code such as multithreading and GPU offloading. Ultimately, the participants were able to run their programs on the GPU resources provided by the University of Augsburg's Computer Center.
