In researching teaching and learning, university-based teacher education and training implemented in a knowledge-based, research-orientated, and professionally relevant manner stands in focus. Alongside this is the comprehensive and effective fostering of professionalism of future teachers. Funded by the federal-state initiative “Qualitätsoffensive Lehrerbildung,” researchers in the large-scale project LeHet are researching questions and challenges related to heterogeneity in schools. A central aspect is the use of digital technologies for teaching and learning, which is being investigated, tested, and evaluated.
