The Summer and Winter schools in Augsburg, Bolzano and Prague are key links between ‘Internationalisation@home’ and longer-term stays abroad. They introduce participants to important aspects of intercultural teaching and learning within a manageable time frame and through personal encounters with students and lecturers from abroad on a subject-specific and interdisciplinary level. In practice phases, supported by impulse lectures, the students find different theoretical and methodological approaches to the subject matter through cooperative interaction and learn to critically examine and reflect on the consequences of interdisciplinary teaching and research through analysis. The two Summer schools take place in the first and last project phase, the Winter schools are scheduled in the middle.
