Professor Traidl-Hoffmann's Chair of Environmental Medicine has been based in Augsburg since 2013. It initially belonged to the Technical University of Munich as part of UNIKA-T (University Centre for Health Sciences at Augsburg Hospital). In 2021, it was transferred to the University of Augsburg as part of the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine in Augsburg. In June 2024, the Institute for Environmental Medicine and Integrative Health was founded in Augsburg.
