Bachelor of Arts

The Bachelor of Arts study programmes of the Faculty of Philology and History are designed either as One or Two-Subject-Bachelor programmes.

Two-Subject-Bachelor

The Two-Subject-Bachelor programme consists of a major subject with 90 credit points, a minor subject with 60 credit points and an elective subject with 30 credit points.

Single-Subject-Bachelor

In contrast to the double bachelor's degree, these Bachelor programmes concentrate on one discipline or on a combination of individual disciplines (art and cultural history) and comprise 180 credit points. They are divided into a compulsory area, in which certain modules must be completed, and an elective area, in which students can choose from a range of modules.

Elective Area

The elective area makes it possible to set a wide variety of accents in terms of content or to acquire professionally-oriented initial or additional qualifications (e.g. in the form of language courses, internships or project work). Targeted courses are a special quality feature of the Augsburg Bachelor degree programmes.
