Short bio

Lars Wietschel, born in 1990, studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Augsburg with a focus on "Resource Management" and "Design of Functional Materials and Products". From 2013 to 2016, he was a student assistant in the "ResourceLab" working group at the Tuma Chair. Since January 2017, Lars Wietschel is a research associate at the Chair of Production & Supply Chain Management.

In his doctoral thesis, Mr. Wietschel investigates biogenic resource cycles using the example of the European bioeconomy. The methods used include potential analyses, life cycle assessment and multi-criteria optimization.
