Nomination
Your home institution must officially nominate you as an Erasmus exchange student before you can apply.
The link to the online nomination form in Mobility-Online is sent to all partner universities when nomination period opens.
Nomination periods:
- Winter Semester/Full Year: 01 April to 15 May
- Summer Semester: 01 October to 15 November
Application
Once nominated by your home institution, you will receive an email with detailed information about the application process within two weeks of receipt of your nomination. If you have not received this email, please get in touch with your home university to check if you have indeed been nominated. If you have been nominated and the email might have gone lost, please contact
erasmus.incoming@aaa.uni-augsburg.de so we can help you.
Applications have to be submitted with all required documents by the following deadlines:
- Winter Semester/Full Year: 31 May
- Summer Semester: 30 November
FAQS
If you would like to study as an exchange student at the University of Augsburg, there should be an inter-institutional agreement between our universities in your subject area. Contact your home university International Office to see if this is the case and how you can apply for an exchange place. If you are selected for exchange in Augsburg, your home university will then nominate you and we will contact you with further information.
No, unfortunately we don’t accept late applications so please make sure you respect the application deadline. We advise you to start with your application process as soon as you receive our email. To do so, please read the information carefully and contact us as early as possible if you have any questions or problems with the application, so we can help you before the deadline has expired.
No, we do not have agreements for traineeships with partner universities only agreements for studies. If you have been invited for an internship by a department/chair of the University of Augsburg, please contact this department/chair, as they are in charge of your mobility.
No, we only accept exchange students who take courses at the University of Augsburg and it’s not possible to have your thesis supervised and graded at our university. Please submit your thesis at your home university according to the requirements of your degree programme.
