Are you an international student who will be starting a study programme at the University of Augsburg? Would you like to get support from a local student at the beginning of your first semester? Then register for the Buddy Programme!

What is the Buddy Programme?
Every semester, numerous international students come to the University of Augsburg to start a study programme to get a degree. Settling into a foreign country, a new city and a new university is not always easy. To support international students in this process, the International Office is offering the Buddy Programme. Within the programme, the international students are assigned an Augsburg student, a so-called "Buddy". The Buddy offers practical support and guidance and can be especially helpful by providing a student perspective. The Buddies themselves benefit from participating in the programme by gaining valuable intercultural experience. It is not uncommon for new friendships to develop between the Buddies and the international students.

Please note: The Buddies are always happy to assist. But they are also students and participate in the Buddy Programme on a voluntary basis, so they will not be able to assist you with every matter and cannot be available all the time. 
 

How to register

Interested? Then register for the Buddy Programme in the summer semester 2024 via the link below. The registration takes place via the "Mobility Online" portal and needs to be done in two steps!

1. Fill out the online form. After that, you will receive an e-mail with a registration link.

2. Register in Mobility Online and complete the registration for the Buddy Programme in Mobility Online by submitting your details and filling out a questionnaire.
