CURRICULUM VITAE

Katharina Angermayr is a PhD researcher and PhD candidate in Digital Health Communication working with Prof. Dr. Sebastian Scherr at the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Research and the Department of Media, Knowledge, and Communication.

 

Her primary research focus centers on health communication, with a particular emphasis on the portrayal of mental health in the media. Her research predominantly involves quantitative methods, including content analysis, online surveys, and experiments.

 

Katharina holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Media and Communication from the University of Augsburg, Germany.

 

During her academic journey, she gained experience as a research assistant in a project on political participation through Internet memes, working with Dr. Michael Johann (University of Augsburg). Additionally, Katharina gained initial experience with eye-tracking methodology, expanding her repertoire of research methods.
