How do I receive support from f.au.st e.V.?

For students to receive support, the support application (see downloads) must be completed in full and submitted exclusively online to f.au.st e.V., usually after consultation at our contact points which you can find under Contact at the bottom of this page.

Grants are awarded exclusively to foreign students in accordance with the terms and conditions of our award regulations, which you can find in the download area. The decision on the awarding of grants is made by the awarding committee of f.au.st e.V. in its regularly held meetings.

Current scholarship announcements are available on the German version of this webpage. Usually we are able to offer part-time scholarships for UA and THA students, full scholarships through the Albert Leimer Foundation (only faculties FAI, MNTF, and WiWi), as well as "integration scholarships". For the latter, you may apply any time.
 

IMPORTANT:  PROOF of FINANCES, VISA, BLOCKED ACCOUNT, REGISTRATION

• If you need a visa, you must already prove during your application in your home country that your living expenses in Germany are secured (e.g. with a blocked account).

• You will also need this proof (blocked account with 12.000 Euros) again when you re-apply for your residence permit in Germany (about three months before your visa expires).

• Important: When applying for a residence permit for the first time, you cannot replace this proof with a part-time job. When applying for the second time, you can.

• Important for students with a blocked account: After your arrival, you must register your address with the city of Augsburg. This process currently takes about three months. During this time, you usually: cannot access your blocked account / cannot open a German bank account. Please, make sure you have enough additional funds (4.500 Euros) to cover your living costs for the first three months.

• Note: Unfortunately f.au.st is not able to help you secure the necessary amount for a blocked accout. This exceeds, by far, our possibilities!
