  • Climate warming and its effects on mountain regions, especially elevation-dependent warming
  • Regional climate modeling with a focus on surface energy balance and feedback mechanisms in complex terrain
  • Conducting field studies to improve understanding of processes in climate-sensitive regions and their representation in models
