In this lecture and accompanying tutorial, students will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of the fundamentals, methods, and applications of biomedical informatics, particularly:
- molecular and cellular biological foundations of essential structures and processes in (eukaryotic) cells
- basic algorithms commonly used in bioinformatics
- bioinformatic methods for data analysis
The tutorial will further deepen the knowledge gained in the lecture through practical examples.
