Sebastian Gaßner und Petra Kirchhoff berichten über die im Rahmen des Projekts A.LEAP vom 2. bis 6. März 2026 durchgeführte Exkursion nach Cardiff/Wales. Besucht wurden u.a. das Cardiff Castle und das National Museum Cardiff. Im Zentrum der Exkursion stand der für die angehenden Lehrkräfte besonders interessante Aufenthalt an der Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Diagnostizieren gehört zu den zentralen Aufgaben von Lehrkräften (z.B. Fischer et al., 2022); dennoch ist das Erlangen von Diagnosefähigkeiten im Lehramtsstudium nicht ausreichend verankert.

Am 02.12.2025 wird Dr. Meral Roeben ihre Forschungsarbeit zu diesem Themenbereich im Forschungskolloquium empirische Fachdidaktik vorstellen. Interessierte sind zu diesem Vortrag herzlich willkommen!

We are delighted that Dr Meral Roeben joined the English Didactics team at the University of Augsburg in October 2025 and congratulate her on the very successful defence of her doctoral thesis.

Im Austausch mit der Cardiff Metropolitan University internationale Erfahrungen sammeln. Seit Beginn des Jahres läuft an der Universität Augsburg das Projekt „A.LEAP“. Ziel ist es, die Internationalisierung der Lehramtsausbildung an der Universität Augsburg strukturell zu verankern und weiterzuentwickeln. Neben der Universität Augsburg sind sieben weitere Universitäten aus Europa beteiligt.

The PISA accompanying study examines the importance of English teachers' didactic knowledge for learning success. Test instruments from Prof. Petra Kirchhoff (University of Augsburg) and Prof. Dr. Stefan Krauss (University of Regensburg) are used. The project is managed by the PISA National Center at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

The “proof - process organization and feedback in performance assessment” school trial by the Bavarian Education Pact Foundation aims to provide pupils with even more individual support in future - with the help of AI-supported analyses. Teachers will also benefit from this. Prof. Dr. Petra Kirchhoff from the University of Augsburg is a member of the scientific advisory board of the school trial.

Dr. Andreas Kullick was recently interviewed by Deutschlandfunk at this year's Didacta for the education magazine “Campus & Karriere”. The interview was about heterogeneity and strategies for teaching children of different abilities together in elementary school English lessons. The interview was broadcast on February 13, 2025 and can be listened to here at any time.
