Digital Media Track

In cooperation with the Chair of Information Systems and Management (Prof. Veit), we offer a "Digital Media Certificate" for successful participation in several of the chairs' courses, confirming their study focus on digital media.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor students: three lectures (or two lectures and bachelor thesis at the chairs of Prof. Dr. Michael Paul or Prof. Dr. Daniel Veit) and one seminar
  • Master students: three courses (including at least one seminar)

Please note that both bachelor and master students need to complete at least one course per chair in order to receive the Digital Media Certificate.

 

Students interested in digital media are also encouraged to become a part of the Digital Excellence Circle.

 

To receive the Digital Media Track certificate, send an email with the following information: name, date of birth, matriculation number, studies, a list of Digital Media Track / Marketing courses (including grade), and a confirmation from STUDIS to  Moritz Bruckner or Katharina Saborowski.

 

By applying the certificate, you confirm that we process your personal data.

Marketing Certificate

In cooperation with the Chair of Marketing (Prof. Gierl), we offer a "Marketing Certificate" for successful participation in several of the chairs' courses, confirming their major field of study in marketing.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor students: six courses and bachelor thesis in marketing (chairs of Prof. Dr. Heribert Gierl or Prof. Dr. Michael Paul or marketing courses abroad)
  • Master students: five courses and master thesis in marketing (chairs of Prof. Dr. Heribert Gierl or Prof. Dr. Michael Paul or marketing courses abroad)

To receive the Digital Media Track / Marketing certificate, send an email with the following information: name, date of birth, matriculation number, studies, a list of Digital Media Track / Marketing courses (including grade), and a confirmation from STUDIS to Gabriele Piesch.

 

By applying the certificate, you confirm that we process your personal data.

Letters of Recommendation

If you like to request a letter of recommendation from the Chair for Value Based Marketing for your application for a study abroad program, a scholarship, or further studies, please note the following requirements and information.

 

In order to issue a letter of recommendation, we require that you have attended courses offered by the chair of Prof. Dr. Michael Paul in accordance with the requirements listed below. The courses must have been completed with above-average grades.

 

If you need to provide a reference person for your PROMOS application, please note that the same requirements apply, and we need the same documents from you as listed below (only the proof that a letter of recommendation is required for your application is not necessary).

 

 

Requirements:

Depending on which phase of your studies you are in, you should fulfill the following requirements.

 

 

Overall grade point average of 2.3 or better

Successful attendance of the course

"Marketing" with a grade of 2.3 or better

Successful attendance of

other courses of the chair, each with a grade of 2.3 or better

Bachelor thesis at the chair with a grade of 2.3 or better

Students in the

For students in the 1st-4th semester, the following also applies: If you have not completed any other courses of the chair beyond "Marketing", we can only assess your academic performance on the basis of your overall grade point average. In this case, we will make recommendations if you have achieved a grade of at least 2.0 in "Marketing" and your overall grade point average is 1.7 or better.

 

Master's students should fulfill the following requirements.

 

 

Overall grade point average in the bachelor's degree of 2.3 or better

Overall grade point average in the master's degree of 2.0 or better

Successful attendance of master's courses of the chair, each with a grade of 2.0 or better

Required documents: 

In order to process your application, please enclose the following documents:

  • Certificate of qualification for university matriculation (Abiturzeugnis)
  • Current curriculum vitae
  • Bachelor's certificate, if applicable
  • Current Studis excerpt
  • Letter of motivation to the target university/scholarship provider
  • Application form for the letter of recommendation (you can find this form on the website of our chair)
  • Proof that a letter of recommendation is required for your application (e.g., a link or an applicant brochure)

If you do not need a letter of motivation for your application, please send us a brief description (approximately 0.5-1 page) of your reasons for your application.

If the scholarship provider or the university to which you wish to apply provides a template for letters of recommendation, please attach it pre-filled as far as possible (i.e., with your personal details).

 

You can send your documents by e-mail to Katharina Saborowski (katharina.saborowski@wiwi.uni-augsburg.de). You will then be informed as soon as possible whether we can prepare a letter of recommendation for you. Please note that the preparation of your letter of recommendation will take some time. You should therefore allow for a processing time of approximately four weeks.

 

Please let us know in your e-mail whether you will collect the completed letter of recommendation from the administration office or whether it should be sent by post (in this case, please state the address).
