The Jakob-Fugger-Zentrum - a Center for Transnational Studies - is an interdisciplinary and internationally oriented research center at the University of Augsburg, which merges, connects and brings together research foci and key issues in the cultural sciences, humanities and social sciences and promotes their public visibility. It encourages academic exchange between its members, coordinates international cooperation, organizes conferences, facilitates the publication of research results and offers support in the administration and acquisition of third-party funds.

Grants for publications in the JFZ book series

 

The JFZ publication grant scheme is only open to members of the Jakob-Fugger-Zentrum. JFZ members can apply for financial support to publish their research in the book series "Internationale Schriften des Jakob-Fugger-Zentrums", hosted by the Göttingen-based publisher V&R Unipress. If funding for a publication project is approved, the JFZ will co-finance a volume in the book series with up to € 1.500. 

 

 

Guidance for applicants

 

 

Applications for a publication grant should include the following documents:

 

  • Short description of the planned volume (author or editor/s, content overview, planned publication date)
  • Estimated total cost of the volume, financing scheme and amount to be covered by the JFZ
  • Short description of the connection between the publication and a research project based within the JFZ

Funding applications for publication grants are accepted on a continuous basis. Funding decisions are made by the Jakob-Fugger-Zentrum management team. Please submit your application via email to:
