In Indonesien ist die Renaturierung von trockengelegten Torfgebieten ein kosteneffizienter Weg, die Folgen von Torfbränden für Umwelt, Klima und Gesundheit zu mildern. Dies ist das Ergebnis einer jüngst in Nature Communications publizierten Studie unter Beteiligung von Prof. Dr. Christoph Knote, Professor für Model-based Environmental Exposure Science an der Medizinischen Fakultät.
