Curriculum Vitae

Jonah Otto earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Indiana (USA), focusing on International Political Science and European History.  During this time he completed study programs in both the United Kingdom and Ghana while also completing work placements at the United States Census Bureaus and the law office of Rudolph, Fine, Porter & Johnson LLP.  After finishing his undergraduate studies he took an internship placement with the U.S. Department of State in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he performed political and media analysis of the Scottish independence referendum for the U.S. Embassy in London.  He then went on to complete a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degree from Indiana University (USA), where he focused on Public Management, Non-Governmental Organization Management, International Education, and Economic Development.  During the course of his graduate studies he completed a work placement for CCS Nonprofit Consultants on a UNICEF global health initiative and also for Radius Indiana Economic Development Corporation as a project manager for a regional branding and marketing campaign.

 

After completing his graduate degree, he gained further professional experience as the Assistant Director of International Programs at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University (USA).  In this role he managed the international relations and partnerships of the school, supervised the school’s international scholar program, and developed and evaluated international programming for faculty members and students.  In addition to his administrative duties he also performed economic development research, instructed undergraduate courses on international economic development and cultural immersion, and presented at international education professional conferences.

 

He has been working as a research associate and doctoral student at the Chair of management and organization since the summer semester of 2018. His research focuses on international organizations, education and economic development.
