Study content:

The Master’s programme Art Education builds upon the undergraduate degree programme with art as subject and represents a research-oriented, artistic and art-didactic expansion of the subject specific knowledge. The goal of the programme is the independent and innovative planning and realisation of pedagogical and artistic projects that are backed by a professional foundation and deep conceptual understanding of artistic and art-didactic action. This applies both to professional fields within and outside of schools. In order to achieve this, in-depth and broad knowledge in aristic processes and visual techniques are just as essential as well-founded art-didactic theory formation. Students can set their own focus in the profiel areas of art education research, artistic practice or the mediation of art education.
