PhD thesis

  • Development of Environmental Barrier Coatings for non-oxidic ceramic matrix composites
Within the framework of a PhD thesis the development of coating systems for silicon carbide fiber reinforced silicon carbide (SiC/SiC) is planned. These so-called Environmental Barrier Coatings (EBC) are intended to protect the SiC/SiC material against degradation under hot gas atmosphere.
