In its two lecture series, research|talks and job|talks, the imwk regularly invites academics and practitioners to present current research projects and provide professional insights into various media professions. The events are open to all who are interested.

In order to gain new insights into current topics and to learn how to deal with new teaching and learning formats, internal training courses and workshops are held at regular intervals for members of the Institute.

In order to strengthen disciplinary exchange and the discussion of research results, in addition to continuous participation in national and international conferences, own conferences and events are organised at the University of Augsburg.
